Soggy rainy and cold we woke up and headed out early to hike up up up to the long anticipated timberline breakfast buffet. It did not disappoint. We shared a table with three other hikers and had great food with great company. It rained outside while we sat on couches in front of grand fireplaces. We procrastinated as we lounged and became part of the tour of the building that passed by. Mid afternoon the rain stopped for just long enough to motivated us to get our packs on and head out into the damp cold. We never did see my hood through the clouds, guess we will have to go back!
