6/03
16 miles (636 to 652 walker pass hwy 178)
Clay and I slept in till 7 this morning woken up by some friends passing by on the trail. We ate little pies for breakfast while laying in bed, packed up and headed out. The hike out to the road went fairly quickly. Our packs were finally light, little food and water remained because today we are going to town. We caught up to our friends, had jerky and a danish for lunch, and passed time  the rest of the hike laughing and telling stories. We reached the hwy, spent a couple hours hanging out with hikers at the primitive campground. Upon hearing of how great the KOA at lake Isabella is, we hitched a ride. We had showers and ate pizza. Tomorrow clays dad will be here to pick us up.
