28 miles (1540 to 1572, about 4 miles north of hwy 3) I know that math doesn't work.
Every time we pass through a town the group of people near us on the following section changes. This time we are near 6 other people, 3 couples. Everyone's around our age and great to be around. Last section it was a large group kids anticipating the bars in the next town, the section before that we were alone.
It is interesting to see who we will be around each section. It would be nice to stay with a group sometimes but everyone stops in different towns and hikes at different paces. At least I've always got my buddy to hike with.
