Yesterday seems so long ago. During the evening we dropped into a steep drainage, there were very few places to camp. We walked into the dark and squeezed into a site with 4 other tents. We left our pot outside for the mice to chew on and poop in.
We did more vertical today than we have in a single day so far, 7513 feet. We never really went up very high, just up and down all day. It's been really hot in Northern California and we have been hiking low, between 2000 and 4500 feet. It's too warm at night to sleep comfortably and probably in the 90s during the day. People have been hiking at night, but that's when we are sleeping so we just sweat a lot and try to stay hydrated.
