24.5 miles (1601 to 1626, campsite on ridge in marble wilderness)
We walked along giant beautiful mountain landscapes in silence. It seems everytime we work up to a big mileage day we crash. We are pooped today.
Lately it's been clearer in the morning and in the afternoon, the smoke blows in. Today stayed clear and we were rewarded with wonderful views of steep and endless mountains. We've been lucky with great weather lately. We had been getting some heat but it hasn't been cold be stormy in ages. Big gusts last night fizzled out while we were sleeping.
